It's About Time!

Finally! After over a year of little inspiration and lots of frustration, Ron is done! I had to completely erase his hair and face at one point, and I was astonishingly reluctant to complete his clothes, but I am very, very happy with the result.

It took me a long time to get the impetus to work on Ron. First, the difficulties with his face, and then just a general apathy in the spring of '09, then high school graduation, a ridiculously busy summer, and getting used to college life... I am just glad this rollercoaster ride of a piece is over.

I think I'll be taking a short break from the Harry Potter project and doing a pseudo-commission of Audrey Hepburn for a friend of mine. I really want to do that well because she wants to hang it up in her room when it's done. So, updates will return now that the demon portrait has been posted. (:

Cheers (and thanks for continuing to watch). (:

Feel free to view it. It took me long enough to make. >.<

I'm so glad that the project is done. I just got so sick of staring at it (and having it stare back) for the last month. I won't be sorry to see it go, no sirree.

It's nice that I can finally relax, kick back, read a little, play a little guitar, and maybe go on a vacation (or two). It'll be nice not to be stressed by the sight of my sketch book for a while.

Once again, thanks for the views and the wonderful comments!

Cheers.

Hello again, everyone! It's been about three weeks since my last update and I have made a lot of progress on the little commission (okay, it's a large commission) that I'm doing for my friend. I have finished his side of the picture since I last posted and I am nearly done the part of myself (I have an eye, a cheek, a mouth, and most of a chin to go). I put it into my scraps if anyone is interested in the WIP. I would love to finish it soon so I can focus on other projects that I am planning.

On a non-deviantArt-related note, I recently returned from college orientation. It was so awesome that my parents had to drag me away. And even then, I went to the student store and bought over $100 worth of SJU sweatshirts and such. I want to go back. I have also discovered that going in as a frshman, I've already completed a semester of work, thanks to AP credit! I got out of a third-year Biology class, unfortunately. I love Biology. Plus, I'm in a third-year French class. O.o I did not think I was that proficient. But such is the life of Gia. My actual program of study, if anyone cares, is International Relations with a concentration of Political Science, the honors program, and the pre-law program. I am going to have no life.

I'm still attending graduation parties, though I've been out of high school for nearly a month.

And I have also gone on the Slim-Fast diet to lose a few pounds. It's been working out slowly, but surely. I've lost about three pounds (I'm aiming for about seven or so). As for another tidbit, I finally got contacts again (this time, I learned from past mistakes and got Acuvue). They are amazingly comfortable, I love them, and now I can wear the Coach sunglasses my best friend bought me for my graduation present.

The weather here has been gorgeous for this time of the year- hot, but not humid. Beautiful breezes every day. Although I have been a little laxx with the sunscreen- I had a run-in with some sunborn on my nose and the skin on the tip is still raw. >.<

So that's pretty much everything going on in my life right now. I hope to post more soon.

Cheers.

-----

This may seem a little odd, considering I have so many projects already, but I figured I would post this up here so I don't forget. Plus, I love to doodle and I do it all the time, so this might actually turn out to be easier than I expect.

Rest assured, I am still working on Ron. And I am also working on a little something else for a friend, which should be done and uploaded within a week or so.

Cheers.
